Dear friends, When Middle of November is arriving, We start suffering a bombardment about the idea that Christmas is here and we have to be happy!!!!!! , to get of the members of our family together for have dinner or go shopping and to buy and buy sometimes a lot of not useful things, we have to be solidaries , at least during this period of time , despite later on we aren’t , etc. Well , certainly not! I don’t agree about it. Firstly, because there are a lot of people living in the street , some of them don't have their whole family members because some of them are far away or dead, or people with a lot of problems which don’t allow them to be thinking I’M HAPPY !!!!!, and in addition there are a lot of people that are solidaries every day during the year, so, they haven’t to wait till Christimas, to do it, ect.

i think happiness is something we create inside, it doesn't just come from the holidays.
and we don't have to wait for the end of the year for this, i think feeling good inside is something we can go for no matter what we're celebrating (or not.)

I agree with you on the Christmas aspect.
I think Christmas holidays are very commercial. If we think about remove eveything related with excessive consumption, Christmas holydays are nothing but holiday days, as any Sunday.
It is true families gather together, there are 'job suppers', and that things are very good, but for this reason, because thats is good, it should to take place more frequently.
I agree with "blog writer" and "aire". You have to be comprensive all year, not only on Christmas. And the people who can enjoy the Christmas are the rich one. How can the Africans be happy if they're hungry enough to die?
The real meaning of Christmas is to put all the poverty and horrors of war under the carpet and pretend that we (the Europeans and Americans), are the only part of the world and that we're all very happy. And of course, buy lots of presents.
But don't say anything against Christmas or you'll be seen as an alien or worse, because only bad people could be against Christmas as it is a very important Christian holiday.
In my opinion Christmas is a way of earning money the department stores.
